IETS MET…PARADIJS

The Night of the Dead returns to the NDSM this year during NDSM XPO XVI.

In our Western culture, religion has lost its original power. We also seem tohave said goodbye to the associated rituals and symbols. Where do we look for our own paradise? In life, in life after death or life with death?
In IETS MET…PARADISE, artists are challenged to explore the search for surviving and living with impermanence. In the first part of the exhibition, the artists explore their personal relationship with death. The second part shows a search for how life relates to it.
Hetty van Bommel, as curator and initiator, will invite artists from NDSM to create this exhibition together with her. During IETS WITH…PARADISE, there will be meaningful moments that reinforce the quests. These will include the Night of the Dead as an opening, the Day of the Dead during Museum Night and an ode to life in the spring of 2025.

IETS MET…PARADIJS will open on November 1 with the 6th edition of The Night of the Dead.
